Obviously we want to use a power tool, but which one? Looking to spend as little as possible to do the job.

The circular saw is the cheapest way to go and it will do the job.

A circular saw is cheaper and will do the job, but it will not do the job better. A miter saw, is easier to use and will cut nice, square cuts every time. Both saws have their uses, but if cheap is the objective, go for the circular.

Ozito circular saw. Cheap but not nasty. Can buy from Bunnings. (naturally)

both are good for this job.
but that also depends on how well you can handle a circular saw, i’ve used mine as a router and more. go with not only what is the cheaper saw, but also one you’ve more confindence in handling to get the job done. good luck.

Home Depot and Lowes both carry moderately priced miter saws. I got mine for $ 75 and it works great. It will allow faster and more accurate cuts.
