is there a power tool to screw in screws other than manual screwdrivers?
what’s the name of it? I am trying to screw a screw onto my door latch as the screw came loose. manual screwdrivers aren’t strong enough to screw the screw into the wood entirely, I’d need some sort of power tool. What’s the name of it? Where can I buy it? Any recommended kind?

believe it or not, it’s called an electric screwdriver! Very handy things. Get a cordless rechargeable one.
B and Q or similar will have one. Or if it is just for one screw, see if you can borrow one.

While i believe neverwins is correct.
You might consider drilling the hole a little deeper then try re-screwing the screw.
they also sell bit ends that you can use with an electric drill if you own one.

Cordless screwdriver, cordless drill, cordless screw gun will all do it, as will any corded drill. I suspect the problem is not the screwdriver, but the fact that, especially if this door is older and the wood is hard, you need to drill a pilot hole for the screw. I’d recommend buying a cordless drill/screw gun that has a torque adjustment and is at least 14 volts. A torque adjustment means that you can adjust the power to the drill head to suit what you’re doing. It prevents over-driving and reduces the possibility of stripping the screw head. Less power for smaller screws into softer materials, more power for bigger screws into tougher materials. Buy a set of drill bits and a selection of screwdriver heads too. Your pilot hole needs to be the same size as the shank of the screw, that means the solid part and not including the threads on the screw. Any building supply place will have what you need.
