is there a safe way to remove paint from staind rough sawn cedar wood panels without removing the stain?

Kind of paint, latex? solvent/oil based? there is a brand of remover from lowes, goof-off, will remove both the different paints, little at a time, and go slow.

Try Murphy’s Oil and Wood Soap….it is great for cleaning wood, and leaving it looking nice with a shine.

Isopropal alcohol will work on spots of latex paint if it’s a splash or drip or something but I wouldn’t recommend trying to remove the paint from an entire panel.
