Does that aluminum sheeting for the attic really work?
I just attended a seminar for the aluminum sheeting that you lay down on the ceiling and floor of your attic. It is supposed to reduce the heat in your home significantly. Now they want to install it and I’m sure it’s expensive. I saw a store version at Lowe’s. Didn’t seem to be as high quality. (I easily tore it….the sample at the seminar was nearly indestructable).
Anyway, what is your opinion on this?

I can’t imagine it would be all that much of a help. What is it supposed to do. reflect the hot air in the attic? Hot air rises.
Is is supposed to keep the cool room air out?
I think venting the attic would be the better use of money. Or just better insulation.
